    <br><br>Pegelevo (fin. Pöyhölä) – a village in the Gatchina district of the Leningrad region. It is part of the Verevsky rural settlement.<br>Story<br>On the „Topographic map of the of St. Petersburg” of the Military topographic depot of the General Staff in 1817, it is designated as a village Pegelevo of 6 yards, adjacent to it Kiurlovo from 1, and to the northeast another Kiurlovo from 2 courtyards.<br><br>On the „Topographic map of the environs of St. Petersburg” by F. F. Schubert in 1831, the following are mentioned: Bolshaya Pegeleva of 2 courtyards (adjacent to the village Kiurlova from 1 yard) and to the northeast of it – a village Pegeleva (Kiurlova) from 2 courtyards.<br><br> PEGELEVO – the village belongs to Demidov, the guard captain, the number of residents according to the revision: 16 m., 17 f. P.
    MALOE PEGELEVO – the village to Demidov, the guard captain, the number of according to the revision: 18 m., 22 f. n. (1838)<br><br>In the explanatory text to the ethnographic map of the St. Petersburg province of P. I. Köppen in 1849, two adjacent villages are mentioned:<br>Pöyhölä (Pegeleva), the number of inhabitants for 1848: Ingrian-Euryamoiset – 14 m., 9 f. etc., 23 people in totalNäppilä (Maloe Pegelevo, Neppeleva), the number of inhabitants for 1848: Ingrian-Euryamoiset – 27 m., 29 f. etc., 56 people in total<br> PEGELEVO BOLSHOE – the village of Major General Demidova, along the post road, the number of courtyards – 5, the number of souls – 12 m.

(1856)<br><br>According to the „Topographic map of parts of the St. and Vyborg provinces” in 1860 there were two neighboring villages Peggelevo: one was called Maloe Peggelevo (Demidovskaya), it consisted of 10 peasant households, the other – Bolshoye Peggelevo, despite the name, consisted of only 6 courtyards.<br><br> BOLSHOE PEGELEVO – owner’s village at the well, number of yards – 4, number of inhabitants: 12 m., 14 f. P.
    MALOE PEGELEVO (NYAPPELEVO) – owner’s village at the keys, number of yards – 10, number of inhabitants: 26 m., 19 f. n. (1862)<br><br>In 1879 the village Bolshaya Pegeleva consisted of 4 yards, and Malaya Pegeleva (Kiurlova) Demidovskaya – 10.<br><br>In 1885 the village Bolshoye Peggelevo consisted of 6 yards, Small – 10.<br><br>In the 19th century, the village administratively belonged to the Staroskvoritskaya volost of the 1st camp of the Tsarskoselsky district of the St. Petersburg province, at the beginning of the 20th century – the 3rd camp.<br><br>By 1913, the number of households in Bolshoy Pegelev increased to 7, in Small until 17.<br><br>From 1917 to 1922 the village Bolshoye Pegelevo and Maloe Pegelevo were part of the Pendovsky village council of the Staroskvortsy volost of the Detskoselsky district.<br><br>Since 1922, as part of the Taitsky Village Council.<br><br>Since 1923, as part of the Gatchina district.<br><br>Since 1924, as part of the Pudost village council.<br><br>In 1927, as part of the Krasnoselskaya volost of the Gatchinsky district, and then as part of the Gatchinsky district.<br><br>In 1928 the population Pegelevo was 169 people.<br><br>According to the 1931 topographic map, the village consisted of two parts: Bolshoye Peggelevo, numbering 13 yards and Maloe Pegelevo – 28.<br><br>According to 1933, villages Bolshoye Pegelevo and Maloe Pegelevo were members of the Pudost Finnish National Village Council of the Krasnogvardeisky District.<br><br>The villages were liberated from the Nazi invaders on January 22, 1944.<br><br>Since 1959, as part of the Bolshetayitsky Village Council. In 1959 the population of the village Pegelevo was 126 people.<br><br>According to data from 1966 and 1973, the village Pegelevo also was a member of the Bolshetaitsky village council.<br><br>According to 1990, the village Pegelevo was a member of the Verevo village council.<br><br>In 1997, 70 people lived in the village, in 2002 – also 70 people (Russians – 96%).<br><br>As of January 1, 2006, there were 36 households and 19 summer cottages in the village, with a total population of 73 people.<br>Geography<br>The village is located in the northern part of the district on the road 41K-218 (Maloye Verevo – Pudost).<br><br>Distance to the administrative center of the settlement – the village of Maloe Verevo, 9 km.<br><br>Distance to the nearest railway station Pudost – 2.5 km.<br>DemographyStreets<br>Dachnaya, Bypass, Olkhovy lane, Sadovy lane, Peat, Central…<br>
