We’re finally updating the living room and dining area and I want to replace the old fixtures with recessed lights and maybe add some dimmers. While I’m at it, I figured I might as well get a few other things checked off the list like adding an outlet in the hallway and fixing a switch that’s been finicky. The problem is I don’t know if it’s better to hire someone for just the lighting and then find another person for the small stuff, or if there are electricians who will do it all in one visit. I’d rather not pay two separate service calls. Has anyone found a company that does lighting upgrade and electrical services in Palo Alto without making you feel like your small job isn’t worth their time? I’m also curious how long something like this usually takes and whether I need to pull permits for just swapping fixtures. Any advice or recommendations would be great because I’m trying to avoid the whole rigmarole of getting multiple quotes if I can help it.
