seestyleThe Indians final week of the regular season started with a win on Joonas Donskoi Jersey Monday night, as the ace of their staff, Corey Kluber, earned his 20th win of the season in a Tribe 4-0 shutout win. It’s the first time in Kluber’s career he’s reached 20 wins after getting to 18 in three of the last four seasons. He is now 20-7 on the season for the AL Central Champs. The offense took quite awhile to get going, but it finally did with a solo homer from Brandon Guyer, and then three runs in the 9th to put the game away. The two teams are back at it on Tuesday, with Trevor Bauer going for the Indians in likely another short start, with Carlos Carrasco coming out of the pen. For now, here’s three takeaways from Monday’s win in the Windy City.1. Cheers to 20 Indians ace Corey Kluber Logan Couture Jersey dominated the Sox yet again, going seven innings without allowing a run on four hits with one walk and 11 K’s. The 20th win marks a career-high for Kluber, and he is the first 20-game winner for the Central Division champions since Cliff Lee went 22-3 in 2008. The numbers don’t stop there, as Kluber is the first Indians pitcher to win 20 games with 200 or more strikeouts since Gaylord Perry did it in 1974. It was a great night for Kluber, who has been so good in his past 11 starts against the White Sox, that with the result Monday his ERA dropped to 1.86. He’ll get one more regular season start on Saturday in Kansas City.Scroll to Continue2. Guyer Gets the ‘O’ Going Brandon Guyer went 1-for-3 at the plate, but the one hit was a big one, as it Tomas Hertl Jersey was a solo homer to left which came in the 7th to break a scorele s tie. It was the 7th homer of the season for Guyer, who still has enough pop in his bat and has shown over and over this season his ability to come up with big hits when the team needs it. Up until the homer it wasn’t a great night for Guyer, who grounded into a double play, and also was 0-for-2 with runners in scoring position. But, in the end he came up big when the team had to have a hit, and gave them the 1-0 lead to leadoff the 7th.3. A 9th Patrick Marleau Jersey Inning of Insurance With the game still very much in doubt with the Indians up 1-0 entering the 9th inning, the Tribe came up with some huge AB’s in the top of the 9th, pushing acro s three runs. Adam Rosales hit a solo homer to make it 2-0, and then Brandon Barnes singled to right, scoring Greg Allen to give the Indians a three-run cushion. The final run of the night went to Edwin Encarnacin, who knocked a single to left center, scoring Yandy Daz for the teams’ fourth and final run of the night. It’s great to see in a tight game a couple young players like Rosales, Barnes and even Diaz come Martin Jones Jersey up big.
