The shape of the building is complex, a rounded one is inscribed in an acute-angled volume, the building is decorated in the style of postmodernism. The main architects of the project are Alexander Velikanov, Alexander Kuzmin, Andrey Bokov and Maria Balitsa – there is a memorial plaque with their names on the facade of the theater. However, Velikanov refused the authorship, according to him, he designed the building itself and has nothing to do with the design of the facade. Theater windows are different in style, shape and decoration. The entrance is decorated with a palace portal copied from the Bourget palace. At the corner there is a cylindrical tower, shaped like a nail and made in a constructivist style. The total area is 9.5 thousand square meters. Height – eight floors.

The interiors were designed by the Levinson & Partners architectural bureau. The premises are decorated using elements of various styles. For example, the design of three wardrobe windows is different: one is stylized as a Russian tower, the second is made in the Gothic style, and the third is in the modern style. The armchairs of the Great Hall are made in eleven different styles: early and late Baroque, Louis XV, Art Nouveau, Neoclassicism, Rococo and others. The theater curtain, on which the golden letters „ETS” are repeated many times, was designed especially for the theater by the artist Eduard Korchergin.

Premises
Great hall – 525 seatsEfrosovsky (small) hall – 120 seats13 art rooms hallTea roomRecording studioRepair shopsSewing shopOther administrative, office and technical premisesSecond stage
In 2013, the Moscow Construction Department announced a competition for the creation of the second stage of the theater, in which the SatKo-Alliance company won. This part of the theater is still under construction: construction began in 2017 and is scheduled for completion in April 2018. The total construction area is 3.8 thousand square meters.
