Together with the Cretaceous species Architiphia rasnitsyni, Priorvespa longiceps (130 million years old, Transbaikalia, Russia), Curiosivespa antiqua (120 million years old, Buryatia, Russia), Cretaproscolia asiatica (120 Ma, China) and others, these are the most ancient representatives of the Vespoidea superfamily from the order Hymenoptera.
