There’s a faint whine coming from underneath the car that only shows up between about 20 and 40 km/h, then disappears once I’m going faster. It’s not loud, my wife can’t even hear it, but I notice it every time. No warning lights, shifts feel normal, fluid level seems fine from what I can check. I’m trying not to spiral into worst case thinking but a whining gearbox is never a good sign in my experience. Came across gearboxrepairsharjah.ae/brands/rolls-royce while searching and I’m thinking of booking a diagnostic just to rule things out, but I’d like to know if this is even worth chasing or if I’m being paranoid. Has anyone had a similar noise that turned out to be something simple like a bearing or a mount rather than the box itself?
